The map shows the distribution of town and cities in the Arctic including also settlements with less than 10 000 inhabitants. The size of population is indicated by the size of the circles. The largest urban areas in the Arctic include Murmansk (Russia), Anchorage (Alaska), Reykjavik (Iceland) and Norilsk (Russia) but it is also notable the agglomeration of towns in the northernmost parts of the Nordic Countries.
