A view of the different nuclear power and plants in operation, under construction, planned or proposed as well as research reactors in the Baltic Sea Region. Russia, Germany and Sweden have three power plants currently in use (as of 2011) and Finland two, while two more are under construction in Kaliningrad and close to St. Petersburg, Russia. Research reactors are present in Norway, Finland, Russia and Poland and a number of both closed power plants and reactors can be seen in Sweden, Finland, Germany, Poland, Belarus, Russia and the Baltic Countries.
