The map shows the share in percentage of total population of persons over 64 years in the Arctic regions. In general all regions register shares below 12% -light green coloured regions- with the exception of the Nordic regions as well as Krasnoyarsk, Murmansk (Russia), Nunavik and Labrador (Canada) where shares above 12-14% indicates the presence of a higher number of elderly people in the Arctic and therefore can be considered as regions with ageing population.
