The map highlights 'growth areas', where the population increase corresponds to approximately 80% of the total increase over last ten years. In Denmark, Finland and Sweden two to three growth areas can be identified whereas in Norway the growth areas are more numerous. In Iceland approximately 90% of the population increase occurs in the Greater Reykjavík area.
